At a meeting on February 23, 2024, the CCA Board voted unanimously to appoint Stanley Yuen to fill the Director At Large position vacated by David ‘Kritter’ Krout. Stanley writes a little about himself below:
I grew up in Honolulu, Hawaii, and graduated from UC Berkeley in 2002 where I studied environmental biology. My current adventures are in sustainable building and homesteading. I’ve been on the board of several nonprofits and a foundation, and I look forward to serving with the CCA. In spite of all of this, I still feel like a beginner and I learn new things every day. I moved to New Mexico in 2018 and settled in Carson in 2020.
Stanley is already a familiar figure with many community members as the founder of VolunTuesday which brings together community minded people on the Taos Mesa to help one other bring community based projects to life in Carson, Three Peaks and Two Peaks. He is an active voice and advocate on various issues, and a regular participant in community events. The CCA Board welcomes Stanley and looks forward to working with him.
