Fall Festival

Check back to see what we have lined up for Fall Fest 23!

The late Carson musician Aaron Lewis (left) and his colleague provided great entertainment at the 2017 Fall Festival.

The Fall Festival, held in October, is the CCA’s major annual fundraiser and is a wonderful opportunity for Carsonites to meet and visit with neighbors while enjoying some food and entertainment, and browse the items for sale.

The event is usually held on the grounds of the Carson Cafe & Grocery Store.

Carson Fall Festival goers can grab a BBQ lunch of burgers or hot dogs and sodas.

Attractions include a BBQ providing burgers, hotdogs, and vegan options; a bake sale with mostly homemade pies, cakes, and cookies; live entertainment provided by local Carson or Taos musicians; vendors selling a range of items that may include handicrafts, plants, handmade jewelry; and a raffle with great prizes donated by a number of businesses in Taos or Santa Fe. Raffle prizes in past years have included gift vouchers from a number of restaurants, Ace Hardware, Trader Joe’s, Paradise Solar, and many more.

The date for the next Fall Festival will be posted on the calendar at around the beginning of October. Please remember to check the calendar then and save the date.

Past festivals have sometimes included a swap meet or community yard sale.

In 2021, newly elected CCA Board Member Vonnie Zepeda was appointed Festival Organizing Manager and recruited a great team of volunteers who came up with great ideas to make this a really fun event. These included running a silent auction for a couple of very special prizes, games and contests, a kids’ corner with activities and races, a carwash, and a greater diversity of vendors or exhibits. Vonnie’s innovations proved so popular, they will remain part of future festivals. Please check the News section for the latest update on the current year’s event as we finalize the list of activities and prizes.
