Carsonites enjoy lunch outside at the 2016 Fall Festival

The purpose of the Carson Community Association (CCA) is to represent the interests of the residents and landowners of the Carson community, and to attend to the needs identified by the community. The CCA’s ByLaws, last updated May 2019, can be seen here. The  minutes for the 2019 General Meeting of the CCA can be found here.

Current members of the CCA Board can be found here.

CCA organizes several events for the Carson community each year. These include fun events that get neighbors together: Spring Bling Fling, Fall Festival, and Holiday Potluck. In addition, the CCA also organizes an annual FireWise Day in March. There are typically three to four general meetings a year to discuss issues or improvements needed in the community, and to vote in officers for the CCA Board.

Announcements for all events are sent to the Carson email list and posted on the Carson Community Bulletin Board two weeks in advance. Carson residents and landowners wishing to be on the email or mailing list should contact CCA President, Elizabeth Brownrigg at 575-758-2758 or egb@elizabethbrownrigg.com.

To support CCA, please send your annual household dues of $10, or what you can afford to contribute, to the Carson Community Association at CCA, PO Box 101, Carson NM 87517. These funds are typically used to help maintain the CCA community building (the quonset hut accessed through South Carson Way, repair the road to the building, and cover fundraising expenses. The CCA community building is the location for the weekly Carson Food Bank, so South Carson Way receives quite a bit of traffic and wear and tear, especially during snowy winters.
