Carson’s Fire Risk Score Improves

By Scott Freeman, CCA Vice President and Carson Fire Chief

A Public Protection Summary Report for Carson, prepared by the Insurance Services Office, just recategorized Carson as a 06/6X from a 9. This is great news for Carson residents since the lower the score the better. Scott Freeman, Carson’s Fire Chief, said that he and his team are working to reduce that number even more.

The new lower score reflects a decrease in our fire risk which is good news if you have your house insured against fire damage. You should see a knock-on effect premiums. Our new score becomes effective on August 1, 2023.

To understand the Carson assessment more fully, read the report on the Carson website. This affects all properties within a 5 mile radius of the fire station.
