2023 Thanksgiving Feast

CCA’s third annual Thanksgiving Feast for Carson.

CCA held its third annual Thanksgiving Feast on Sunday November 12th, at the Carson Fire Station. Volunteers did a great job setting up. Our special thanks to CVFD’s Captain Bill Howard and Lieutenant Ellery Collins for helping with that. Vicky Howard and Vicky Lindsay decorated the tables.

Volunteers help set up the fire station for the feast.

We had a good turnout of 65 people, mostly Carson residents. CCA provided turkey, dressing, gravy, rolls, and cranberry sauce, plus mashed potatoes made by Jeff made who also purchased the pumpkin and pecan pies and rolls. Carson residents also contributed many dishes. There was an informal performance by Charlie Raferty who played guitar and sang. Overall, participants had a great time visiting and enjoying good food.

Community members enjoy the feast provided by CCA.

Various people including CVFD’s Lieutenant Ricky Garrison, Chief Scott Freeman, Traci McCall, Sharon and Art Wilbur, Richard Hawley, Jason and others made quick work of disassembling and putting away the tables and chairs.

CCA continues to seek improvements to the event and hope more people will contribute side dishes and desserts to future feasts. CCA thanks everyone for joining in and those who brought some food to share.
